NEW Summer Event Will Draw Animal Lovers and Pet Owners of All Ages

Stone Mountain, GA – Stone Mountain Park is offering a summer event like no other with the all-new Animal Planet Summer Adventure. From June 9 – August 5, families can enjoy exciting animal shows and get an up-close look at these amazing creatures including amazing pigs, exotic birds, magnificent horses, fascinating reptiles and more! The line-up of shows is as follows: 

All The King’s Horses - This 30 minute show incorporates enchanting Andalusian and majestic Royal Lipizzan Stallions who will delight audiences with their feats of strength and agility. In between shows, guests can view these beautiful creatures in the public viewing area. 

Extreme Parrots
– See performances by a variety of high spirited parrots that fly, talk, sing and entertain audiences of all ages.

Wonders of Nature
– This cool bird show focuses on unusual hawks, owls, a vulture and even a flying squirrel. These creatures will display all-natural behaviors including free-flying in an avian extravaganza. This intimate show includes audience interaction. 

Hog Wild Revue
– An 850-pound pig starts Hog Wild Revue by rolling out a red carpet. Then Cuzzin Grumpy performs with five pigs that can leap hurdles, sing and roll barrels.

Leaping Livestock
- Visit the Farmyard at the Antebellum Plantation for a fun show where trained goats and sheep show off as they compete in an obstacle course. Additionally, kids can pet the goats, sheep and pigs while professionals teach them about animal behavior and talk about the animals’ roles on Plantations of the 19th century. 

Animal Encounters
– On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, kids will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with fuzzy, scaly and even slimy animals. Creatures in encounter stations include both domestic and “wild” animals such as alligators, non-poisonous snakes, raccoons and more!

The Park’s One-Day All Attraction Pass guarantees kids a full day of “animal” fun – with access to all of the Animal Planet Summer Adventure activities AND all of the Park’s exciting attractions, including the Camp Highland Outpost, Treehouse Challenge, the Great Barn®, the 4D Theater, the Train, the Summit Skyride and lots more! Families can stay for the world’s largest Lasershow Spectacular nightly throughout the summer event. The Regular One-Day All Attractions Pass* is $24 (plus tax) and $19 (plus tax) children ages 3-11. Parking permit required for vehicle entry to the park - $8.00 (cash only) for a one-day permit or $35 for an annual permit. (*Ride the Ducks Sightseeing Tour not included in the All Attractions Pass.)

Additionally, families can enjoy the Park’s Summer Character Breakfasts. The breakfasts are at Miss Katie’s Restaurant, in the Crossroads area, every Saturday at 9:30 A.M from June 9 – August 4. Characters will include SpongeBob™, VeggieTales® Bob & Larry and Splash the Duck. Animal Planet’s advocacy program, R.O.A.R encourages everyone to Reach Out. Act. Respond. to be a voice for and take action on behalf of animals. Animal Planet partners with leading animal organizations to inspire people to make the world a better place for animals. Animal Planet and Stone Mountain Park will provide messages to guests encouraging them to visit local rescue shelters and give a loving home to a new pet. If they can’t adopt, they can foster a pet, volunteer at a shelter and join fund-raising efforts. The R.O.A.R. campaign also highlights the need to protect wildlife in local communities and worldwide.
