Stone Mountain, GA – Stone Mountain Park’s Yellow Daisy Festival has been bringing guests the best artists and crafters for over thirty-nine years. The festival has grown to become one of the most prestigious venues for crafters and has been consistently voted the “Nation’s #1 Arts & Crafts Show” by Sunshine Artist Magazine’s Annual “200 Best” survey. Also, the festival has been voted as one of the Top 20 events by the Southeast Tourism Society. This year’s show will be held September 6, 7, 8 and 9.

The Yellow Daisy Festival has more than 500 crafters and artists from all over the United States. These top artisans display their hand-made work, for appreciation or purchase in categories such as Pottery, Fabric, Painting, Jewelry, Glass, Floral, Metal, Baskets, Dolls, Games, Toys, Photography, Sculpture, Fine Arts & Crafts and Traditional Arts & Crafts.

Crafter, Vikki Mancil Weigel, was selected as the 2007 featured artist. Weigel, a self taught artist, is recognized for her brilliant color palette and charming childlike spirit. Inspired by her daughter, Vikki’s work focuses on the sisterhood of women and the innocence of children. Her work is shown and collected throughout the United States, Canada, Germany and Japan. You can find Vikki’s work at Booth A35 at this year’s Yellow Daisy Festival.
“Vikki’s work truly captures the spirit of the Yellow Daisy Festival,” said Special Events Manager Jeanine Battle. “We fell in love with her whimsical childlike characters and felt that it would speak to the child within us all.”
