Stone Mountain, GA - The Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain Park has again been voted the "Nation's #1 Arts & Crafts Show" by Sunshine Artist Magazine's Annual "200 Best" survey - for an unprecedented five years in a row! In 1993, the magazine began conducting the "200 Best" survey and the Yellow Daisy Festival has always been a top ten contender. Over the 15 years, the festival has received nine #1 rankings! This year's festival is September 6-9, 2007.
"It's won five consecutive years, through heat and hurricanes both, and received twice as many votes as its nearest competitor this year," said Cameron Meir, Editor of Sunshine Artist Magazine.
"What makes this award so great is it is the artists themselves who rate the festivals," said Special Events Manager, Jeanine Battle. "Many of these artists attend multiple shows each year and certainly understand what it takes to produce a top show."
The 39th Annual Yellow Daisy Festival has also been voted one of the top 20 events by the Southeast Tourism Society. The festival is expected to draw over 200,000 shoppers over the four-day event with more than 500 crafters and artists from all over the United States. This year's event is September 6-9 in the Special Events Meadow at Stone Mountain Park. Hours are:
Thursday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Friday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
