THE POLAR EXPRESS™ 4D EXPERIENCE PULLS INTO STONE MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS
Annual Christmas Festival Set for Nov. 10-Dec. 30
Stone Mountain, GA - Stone Mountain Christmas takes place Nov. 10 – Dec. 30, 2007. New for this year’s festival is the Atlanta debut of the 20-minute Polar Express™ 4D experience. Guests will be able to enjoy an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole in Stone Mountain’s own 4D movie theater. Among the traditional entertainment, two new live shows join this year’s lineup; A Hometown Holiday and Kickin’ Up Christmas. Each show is highlighted by heartwarming holiday songs that bring back memories of being a kid at Christmastime.
The town of Crossroads® has doubled the Christmas lights, now having more than two million, creating a charming and magical atmosphere. Other activities include the new Christmas Lasershow where guests can make s’mores at the Jingle Bell Bonfire while enjoying the laser light displays and fireworks that are choreographed to favorite Christmas songs. Additionally, guests can enjoy Crossroads Christmas Carol, a traditional stage show with a comical twist, the nightly Fireworks and Snow Fall Celebration where the Snow Angel brings snow to Crossroads and of course Santa Claus himself. Plus, many holiday treats await guests such as roaming carolers, atmosphere characters, shopping and fantastic dining.
“Stone Mountain Christmas has again been named one of the Top Twenty Events in the Southeast” said Sonny Horton, Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Stone Mountain Park. “We take pride in the event and are continuously adding new activities each year to entertain our families. Whether they come to see the two million lights, live shows, or many other attractions, they are sure to create holiday memories worth repeating.”
