Stone Mountain, Ga.- The Georgia skies explode with color during Stone Mountain Park’s 25th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular. Debuting May 3, this Atlanta tradition celebrates its silver anniversary with a digitally re-mastered show, one component of Stone Mountain Park’s 50th Anniversary Celebration through 2008.
New additions to the Lasershow Spectacular include a musical score featuring a parity of all-time favorite tunes and medleys from themes such as Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones and High School Musical. Heroes and Sports medleys with state-of-the art graphics are also new additions followed by a Patriotic Finale. Long-lasting traditional favorites such as “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” “Trilogy” and “Celestial Soda Pop” are also back by popular demand.
“Seen by more than 20 million people since 1983, the Lasershow Spectacular is the longest running lasershow in the world,” said Stan Morrell, director of entertainment, guest experience and special events for Stone Mountain Park. “With a new musical score, added displays of laser lights, graphics, characters, sound and fireworks this years show is bigger than ever and truly appeals to the imaginations of all ages.”
