Atlantans can step back in time as Stone Mountain Park is transformed into living history at Georgia Frontier Days April 30-May 4. The event includes an array of interactive and hands-on activities portraying life on the Georgia frontier hundreds of years ago.
What: Georgia Frontier Days
Who: Journey through hundreds of years of Georgia history with live and interactive demonstrations that portray life on the frontier. Meet DeSoto’s explorers and witness a cavalry unit with live horses. Learn about weaponry making, battlefield medicine, cooking, music and frontier survival skills.
When: April 30-May 1; 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
May 2-3; 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: Stone Mountain Park; Antebellum Plantation & Farmyard
Tickets: Admission included in Adventure Pass; $26 adults; $21 ages 3-11
Individual admission; $10 ages 3 and up
Vehicle entry to the park is $8 for a one-day permit or $35 for annual permit
