Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing Event

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse, known as the “Great North American Eclipse,” will trace a narrow path of totality across 13 U.S. states. Outside this path of totality, most of the rest of the country will experience a partial solar eclipse. According to nationaleclipse.com, Atlanta will see an 81% obscuration with the peak time at 3:04 PM.

Guests can either use the walk-up trail or ride the Summit Skyride* to the top of the mountain for the best eclipse viewing spot in Atlanta!
*If planning to ride the Skyride, make sure to arrive early due to the popularity of this event.

This ticket option is available online only and may not be available at the park. Parking, taxes, and service fees are additional. 2 and under are free.

Tickets for the Summit Skyride will also be available at the park. The walk-up trail does not require a historic ticket.

Daily or Annual parking pass also needed for entry to the park.

Remember that you must use special eclipse safety glasses or viewers at all times during a partial solar eclipse.
