Stone Mountain Park About Rules Stone Mountain Park Park Rules & Ordinances Overview PARK HOURS Both entrances to the Park are open daily from 5AM – Midnight. EMERGENCIES (Police, Fire or Medical) Use the Police Call Boxes located throughout the Park, go to any attraction and request the Park Police, or call 770-413-5333 from any telephone. SPEED LIMIT Obey all posted speed limits. 25 MPH on park roads, and 15 MPH in the Campground,parking lots and near playgrounds. Violators can receive a court citation. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES Consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on streets, parking lots, the Memorial Lawn or any posted area. PETS No pets other than dogs and cats are allowed. All dogs and cats must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Pets are NOT allowed on the attractions, Memorial Lawn, Songbird Habitat and Trails, Walk-Up Trail, at special events or in posted areas. Pet owners are responsible for the removal of pet waste. Recreation Information PUBLIC PICNIC AREAS Public use tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis in our two designated picnic areas noted on the attractions map with. Public use grills are also available to be shared by several groups. Private grills can be used in the public picnic areas only and may not be placed on picnic tables. Private outside catering is never allowed in Stone Mountain Park. No more than six picnic tables and the immediate area around those tables can be used by a single group. Sound systems of any kind cannot carry sound more than 50 feet from the system per Stone Mountain Park Noise Ordinance 5-109. WALK-UP TRAIL When climbing the mountain, please stay on the trail marked with a yellow line. If you walk up the mountain and ride down the Skyride, there is no transportation back to the Walk-Up Trail parking lot. FISHING Georgia Fishing License mandatory (I.D. required). Refer additional questions about fishing to Stone Mountain Park Campground General Store or visit gofishgeorgia.com. BOATING Boats are allowed during daylight hours only. Boats with motors over 10 HP are not allowed. Boats must have all required safety equipment per state law, including a PFD for every occupant of a boat. Violators can receive a court citation. BICYCLES Permitted during daylight hours and after dark with proper lights. Bikes must be kept on paved roads and ridden single file on weekends. Georgia Law requires helmets for all riders under age 16. Additional Guest Information To ensure you enjoy your experience at Stone Mountain Park, please be aware of the natural terrain. There are some areas which are potentially hazardous. Use caution when approaching such areas as uneven land. DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS In consideration of other guests, please utilize the Designated Smoking Areas at or near each major attraction. These areas are identified with signage and noted on our attractions map with. Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings, in queue lines, on the attractions and on the Laser Lawn. We appreciate your cooperation. LOST & FOUND All Lost & Found items are turned in each night to the Operations Department. They can be reached at 770-498-5696. CREDIT CARDS Stone Mountain Park proudly accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for admission and at most gift shops and restaurants. STROLLER/WHEELCHAIR RENTAL When visiting the Park attractions, strollers and/or wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rental facility located just inside the Main Ticket Plaza at the Adventure Center. ATM Automatic Teller Machines are located at Skyride Plaza, Marketplace and the Campground.
