Amenities You’ll Love in Stone Mountain Rental RVs

If you want the comforts of home while camping in a serene, wooded area, renting an RV at Stone Mountain Park is perfect for you. It’s truly the best of both worlds! And the greatest part is that you don’t even have to own an RV! At Stone Mountain Park, you can rent an RV and camp right in the heart of the park, all the while relaxing and enjoying the multiple amenities we have to offer. It’s one of the most unique and fun things to do in Atlanta and it’s something you need to add to your list of fun getaways!

Stone Mountain Park has 3,200 acres of lush scenery with a fabulous view of the 363-acre lake. Not to mention we have over 400 camping sites and have been voted as the #1 camping spot in the state! Read on to learn more about the ins and outs of rental RV camping at Stone Mountain Park.

What Does the RV Rental Come With?

There are six inviting RV sites available to rent at the park, and they can fit up to six campers each. The RVs are well-kept and contain a private bedroom with either a queen-size bed or a full-size bed. There is also a couch that can turn into a bed that fits up to two people for extra sleeping accommodations. You can sleep peacefully knowing a fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detector, and smoke detector are all safely installed within the RV as well.

The RVs also come equipped with air conditioning and heat so you can camp comfortably all year round. Our RVs are equipped with cable and flat-screen TVs, as well as DVD players.

The campers each have a dining area and a kitchen with a small refrigerator, microwave, and cooking range. This way, you can prepare a meal inside the camper if the weather is not cooperative or if you simply prefer to cook indoors.

Each camper also has a toilet, shower, and bathtub inside so you can still enjoy the comforts of home (and cleanliness!) while experiencing Earth’s natural beauty, making it one of the best and most fun things to do in Atlanta!

Amenities at the Stone Mountain Campground

Mealtime Ease
Each Stone Mountain RV rental site has a wooden deck and a picnic table to relax at while admiring the scenery. The campground also has a charcoal grill for barbecuing meals and a fire ring perfect for making s’mores and relaxing by firelight.

Activities for Kids

If you are camping with little ones, the campground has a playground area to entertain them. You can also enjoy a classic game of horseshoe on the court or play a friendly game of volleyball on our sand court. Although there is no swimming in the lake, you can take a dip in the campground pool so you can cool off on hot summer days.

On-Site Laundry
You’ll love that the campground has washers and dryers so your laundry doesn’t have to pile up during your stay. This makes it easy to wash swimsuits, clothing, or towels so you can pack lighter while still having clean items during your entire trip.

The Stone Mountain General Store

The General Store is conveniently located right in the campground area and has most necessities for camping at the park. So if you run out of an essential, we most likely will have it on hand. No need to leave the campsite or panic if you forgot something! We carry everything from linens to firewood, so you’re sure to have whatever you need during your stay.

What to Do in Stone Mountain Park

While you’re hanging out at the park during the day, you might wish to venture away from the campground and enjoy some of the amazing attractions and activities that Stone Mountain Park has to offer. We have over 15 miles of hiking trails to explore, with one that will take you to the top of the mountain. While hiking, you can see more than a dozen species of birds in the park, including American Bluebirds, Brown Thrashers, and Field Sparrows.

You can also explore family-friendly attractions like Dinosaur Explore, Great Locomotive Chase Adventure mini golf, and the Scenic Railroad, or reserve a spot on the lawn and watch all-new Music Across America Drone & Light Show at night.

Fishing
Don’t forget to bring your poles since there are docks and fishing areas where you can catch five different types of fish, including bream, carp, catfish, bass, and crappie. You can find bait at the General Store at the campground or you’re welcome to bring your own.

Golfing

Within Stone Mountain Park are two 18-hole golf courses. If you are an active golfer and want more of a challenge, the Lakemont Course is right for you. On the other hand, for a more leisurely round of golf, check out the Stonemont Course. The Stone Mountain Golf Club also has a restaurant and a pro shop.

Park Attractions
Soar or descend 825 feet on the Summit Skyride and get an up-close view of the largest high-relief carving in the world! You can also try out our obstacle course at SkyHike, where we have a junior course for younger climbers.

From campground amenities to attractions and recreation, Stone Mountain Park has you covered! Plan your visit with Stone Mountain RV rental and prepare for an unforgettable time with one of the most fun things to do in Atlanta!
