The Music Across America Drone & Light Show offers an escape to a world of pure magic and exhilaration. Embark on an unforgettable cross-country journey and experience the ultimate musical extravaganza! The summer show is now bigger, brighter, and more breathtaking than ever.

Stone Mountain Park invested in new Light Show technology that offers a way to produce imagery not available with the classic Lasershow. This new immersive experience boasts ten times more lumens, ten times larger video projection, and ten times more laser beams than the classic Lasershow, providing more clarity, precision, and definition. Featuring the latest in digital video technology, sound, and lighting, the Light Show dazzles with its vibrant colors and dynamic animations. Using state-of-the-art projectors and a combination of 3D mapping techniques, this high-definition show is the most visually stunning production yet.

Experience the magic as amazing overhead lasers reach all the way to the back of the lawn, painting the night sky with a symphony of vibrant colors. Be immersed in a multi-sensory adventure as mesmerizing visuals sweep guests through a realm where music and lights unite. What is the new Light Show technology?

The new Light Show features banks of new high-resolution 4k video projectors which will enhance the experience with lighting moving overhead, side to side, and on the ground. An upgraded sound system providing a full immersive surround sound effect. Solid state full color laser projectors and 250 color-changing drones choreographed in aerial light displays.

 Do I have to make a reservation for the Light Show? Can I just walk in and buy tickets?

Advance reservations are encouraged to ensure your entry into the Light Show. Walk-up tickets will only be sold based on availability.

 Is the Light Show included with an Attractions Ticket/Mountain Membership?

Yes, the Light Show is included with an Attractions Ticket or Mountain Membership. Blackout dates may apply during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration. Members will require a $5 ticket.

Is the Light Show included in my annual parking pass?

No, the annual parking pass includes access to the hiking and nature trails, public picnic areas, 363-acre lake, children’s playground, Grist Mill, Covered Bridge, and Quarry Exhibit.

Can I still bring in chairs / blankets / coolers / etc.?

Yes, you can bring your own food to the Light Show and picnic on Memorial Lawn before the show, provided you have purchased a Light Show ticket, Attractions Ticket or Membership. Glass containers and grills are not allowed on the Lawn. Alcohol is not permitted on the lawn.

What is a Light Show Terrace Seat?

A Light Show Snack Terrace is a viewing deck along the sides of the lawn that include a reserved seat, unlimited popcorn, and a Coca-Cola beverage. If you don’t want to bring your own chair this is a great option! Terrace location will be assigned when you pick up your tickets at the park. Terrace seating opens 2.5 hours prior to showtime. Snack service ends at the start of the show.

I’m a Mountain Member. How do I reserve my Light Show tickets?

Mountain Members no longer need to reserve Light Show tickets in advance, except during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration. Just visit a ticket window to obtain a wristband for entrance.

How long does the Light Show last?

The Summer Light Show is approximately 45 minutes in length. The special event Light Shows including Latino Family Festival, Pumpkin Festival, Stone Mountain Christmas, and Lunar New Year are approximately 30 minutes in length.

Can I bring alcohol to the Light Show?

No. Alcohol is not allowed on the lawn.

Is there space for an individual in a wheelchair to view the Light Show?

Yes. There are special spaces for wheelchairs in front of the Railroad tracks and on the concrete terraces around the Lawn.

Can I propose marriage, wish a “Happy Birthday” or acknowledge someone in the Light Show?

No. We cannot accommodate any kind of edits to the show content.

Can I get a CD of the music played at the Light Show or a video of the Light Show?

No. Unfortunately, CDs and videos of the Light Show are not available for sale.

Is smoking permitted on Memorial Lawn?

Please note that smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas at the Lower Lawn (below train tracks).

What if it rains, can I get a refund?

The Light Show operates rain or shine. Some elements or effects may be postponed or canceled due to inclement weather. Light Show tickets are non-refundable.

If I decide not to come on my reserved date, can I just use my ticket another day?

Changes can be made based on availability. Please call 478-478-6686 for more information.

Where can I pick up my tickets? Do I have to go to the Ticket Plaza to get my tickets or do I go to the lawn?

You will redeem your Light Show tickets at the Crossroads Ticket Plaza before you head to the lawn.

What Happened To The Lasershow?

After 40 years of illuminating the night sky and delighting audiences of all ages, the iconic Lasershow at Stone Mountain Park is coming to an end. This beloved tradition has been a staple in Atlanta, captivating millions of visitors from around the world with its stunning visuals and breathtaking displays. With the show being outdated and in need of a revamp Stone Mountain Park has decided to bid farewell to the Lasershow and replace it with a state-of-the-art production that promises to be bigger, brighter, and more breathtaking than ever.

Will The Classic Lasershow Come Back?

Stone Mountain Park is very excited to bring an ALL-NEW Light Show to the park this Summer. We also know many people have fond and nostalgic memories of the classic Lasershow Spectacular.  The classic Lasershow will remain part of the catalog of light shows and will reappear periodically.
