July 1 – 3 Attractions 11:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Tickets are required for the Light Show and fireworks.
Purchase either an Attractions Ticket or Light Show only ticket for access.
Space is limited, early entry by 5 PM is highly recommended during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration.
Enjoy a day full of adventure with great family attractions, live entertainment during Summer at the Rock, hike the one-mile trail to the top of Stone Mountain for some amazing views of downtown Atlanta, explore the miles of wooded trails throughout the park and relax in nature, then stay into the evening to experience the Music Across America Light Show* followed by the EXACT SAME patriotic fireworks finale each night of the celebration!
Please note:
- Enter the park before 5 PM! We recommend getting to the park before 5 PM, especially on July 4!
- Gates will close to traffic! Please be aware that the park will close gates to traffic once parking capacity is reached, regardless of pre-purchased ticket.
- No re-entry. Guests who leave the park on July 4 and then wish to return will have to re-pay the park entry fee. Some attractions may require reservations due to high attendance.
- Mountain Members will require a ticket on July 4. All other dates during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration are included with your membership, plus you can bring a friend for free- July 1 – 3, 5 – 7.
- SkyHike will be subject to a $5 add-on ticket on July 4 & July 5 due to limited capacity. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket windows at the park.
*Some effects may be canceled due to winds and unfavorable weather.

When is the Fantastic Fourth Light Show and Fireworks?
July 1 – 7. The Light Show begins at 9:30 PM and the fireworks immediately follow. The show is the same all 7 nights.
How much is the Light Show?
Memorial Lawn seating for the Light Show is included with an Attractions Ticket or a Light Show Only Ticket during each night of the Fantastic Fourth Celebration.
Do Mountain Members need a ticket?
July 4 is a blackout date and will require a ticket for entry. All other nights during the Fantastic Fourth event are FREE for members. Just visit the ticket plaza for a wristband.
How much is parking?
Parking is available as a daily pass for $20 or annual pass for $40, per car.
Where do I enter the park?
- Cars – Enter through the East gate (main entrance on Highway 78) or West gate (James B Rivers Memorial Drive and East Mountain Street).
- Pedestrians – Enter through the West gate (James B Rivers Memorial Drive and East Mountain Street) ONLY.
What if it rains?
The Light Show operates rain or shine. Some elements or effects may be postponed or canceled due to inclement weather including wind and lightning.
Are there designated smoking areas?
Lower Lawn (below train tracks): On the left side near the Cherokee Trail below the South Carolina terrace. Upper Lawn: Outside of the east and west side restrooms. All other areas on Memorial Lawn are restricted. Please be courteous of non-smoking guests.
Can I bring my own food to the Light Show?
Yes. You can bring your own food to the Light Show and picnic on Memorial Lawn prior to the show. Please no glass containers, alcohol, or grills, as they are not allowed on the Lawn.
Can I use the Attractions Ticket to access the attractions during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration?
Yes! An Attractions Ticket includes access to attractions, seasonal entertainment, and lawn seating for the Drone & Light Show plus fireworks! Please also be aware that space is limited and the Park will close gates to traffic once parking capacity is reached, regardless of pre-purchased tickets. We recommend getting to the park before 5 PM.
Can I purchase a Snack or Dinner Terrace seat?
You can purchase Light Show Terrace Seating each night, excluding July 4th and Dinner Terrace Seating Saturday during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration. Only on July 4, terraces are open to the public on a first come basis, except Memorial Hall Terrace. View the Terrace map
Can I leave the park and come back on July 4?

Can I reserve a pavilion on July 4th?
Due to the heavy traffic and large crowds associated with the 4th of July weekend and holiday, we do not rent any of our Private Picnic Facilities, including the covered pavilions. They cannot be reserved over the July 4th weekend or on July 4th itself and we will not give anyone permission to use these facilities on these dates. While many of these covered pavilions may have been occupied on those dates in prior years, those guests did not have the facility reserved and did not have permission to use the facility.
Can I bring my pet to the Fantastic Fourth Celebration?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the Fantastic Fourth Celebration so we ask that you please make the appropriate arrangements for your pet prior to attending the Festival.
