  • DO NOT enter into any restricted areas including ride perimeters, animal enclosures and designated employee areas.
  • Enter the park through designated entrances during operating hours only.
  • Use designated walkways throughout the park. Do not cross any fences, chains, landscape areas or other barriers.
  • Be attentive to your surroundings. Watch where you are walking. Walk, don’t run.
  • Be sure to follow all rider requirements, including requirements for loose articles.

Any Guest who fails to comply with the Terms of Sale, including without limitation those listed above, may at the discretion of Stone Mountain Park have their Ticket revoked or confiscated by Stone Mountain Park here with no refund of any amount paid therefor. Upon such revocation or confiscation, the applicable Guest and all members of their party shall have no right to remain in, on, or about the Property. Stone Mountain Park reserves the right to ban such individuals from future admission to all or any of its Properties.

Can I get directions to Stone Mountain Park? Does public transportation come to the Park?

Regarding public transportation, MARTA, Atlanta’s public transportation service, does not provide transportation directly to Stone Mountain Park. It drops off in the city of Stone Mountain, about ½ mile from the Park’s West Gate. To contact MARTA, call 404-848-4711 or visit their website.

You may also wish to check with the hotel at which you are staying to see if they provide transportation for their guests. You may also contact a taxi service to see if they can provide transportation for you.

Operating Schedules

What time do the Park Gates open? What time do the attractions open?

Park Gates are open daily, 5:00 a.m. to Midnight. Attraction hours vary. Visit the Calendar page for attraction hours on the day of your visit.

Are the attractions open year-round?

Stone Mountain Park is open year-round for recreational activities. However, the attractions are seasonal and may not be available. Please visit the Calendar page for attraction availability on the date of your visit.
Typically the attractions schedule is open on weekends in March, April, May, August, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec. Open daily Memorial Day Weekend through the end of July, Spring Break, and school holidays in Nov & Dec.

Which attractions will be open on the date of my visit?

What is the Light Show Schedule? Will there be a Light Show on the date of my visit?

The Music Across America Light Show runs seasonally from May through mid-September. Visit the Calendar page for specific show dates and times.

Tickets & Pricing

What is the cost of the One-Day Attractions Ticket? What is included in the One-Day Attractions Ticket?

Does Stone Mountain have an annual pass for attractions? How much does it cost? What is included?

Yes. We have an annual attractions pass called the Mountain Membership. Visit the Mountain Membership page for more information as well as a list of additional benefits enjoyed by members.

Can I pay individually for the attractions? What attractions can I pay for individually?

The Summit Skyride may be purchased individually, or is included with a One Day Attractions Ticket. No other attractions may be purchased individually.

Do you offer a military discount?

Yes. We do offer a military discount on the One-Day Attractions Ticket at the ticket window. Please show your military or dependent ID to receive the discount.

What is the parking fee to enter the Park? Is this fee “per vehicle” or “per person”? What does this parking fee include? How much is bus parking?

Can I take an Uber, Lyft, Taxi or Limo to the park?

Stone Mountain Park is happy to welcome ride-share vehicles, taxi cabs, and limousines into the park. Those drivers are required to pay $5 to enter the park for pick-ups and drop-offs. 

Can I leave and return to the Park on the same day without having to pay the parking fee again?

Purchasing a daily parking permit allows you entry and exit for the entire day, but does not guarantee re-entry. Please be aware that re-entry may be difficult on busy days, holidays or during large events. Free re-entry is not permitted during the Fantastic Fourth Celebration or Yellow Daisy Festival.

What forms of payment do you accept at Stone Mountain Park?

Stone Mountain Park accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards online, on park, and through our call center. On park we also accept cash payments. For group ticket payment options please contact our Group Sales Department, 770-498-5636, Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, excluding holidays.

What does it cost to rent a campsite?

Campsite rental prices vary based on the utilities offered and location within the campground. Monthly rates are also available. Please visit our campground pages for more information.

What hotels are inside the Park? How do I make a hotel reservation?

We have two hotels inside the Park – the Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort and The Inn at Stone Mountain Park. You can make a reservation at www.atlantaevergreen.com or by calling or by calling 770-879-9900 for the Evergreen or 770-469-3311 for the Inn.

Park Policies & General Information

How do I replace my parking permit?

Parking Permits will be replaced at a charge of $25.00 if at least half of the old pass with the month shown can be removed from the window and returned to us. If this cannot be accomplished, replacement parking permits will be $40 each. These may be purchased at the Entrance Gates to the Park or at the Main Ticket Plaza.

Can I bring alcohol to the park?

Alcohol can be brought to the Park, but is not permitted on streets, in parking lots, or other posted areas. Those other areas include, but are not limited to, attractions, Memorial Lawn, Pavilions, the Special Events Meadow and the Walk-Up Trail. No glass containers are allowed.

Are there clothing guidelines at Stone Mountain Park?

To preserve our family atmosphere, proper clothing is required including shirts and shoes (sandals or flip-flops are acceptable – but note that on some attractions closed-toe shoes may be required ). Clothing with offensive words and/or pictures will not be permitted inside the Park. Stone Mountain Park reserves the right to require additional or different attire where we deem appropriate. Should a guest refuse to comply with our requests, the guest will be politely asked to leave the property.

Am I allowed to fly a drone in Stone Mountain Park?

All unmanned aircraft including model airplanes, quad-copters, drones and model helicopters are prohibited at Stone Mountain Park. For further information on this park ordinance, please visit the Stone Mountain Memorial Association’s website at stonemountainpark.org.

I lost my Mountain Membership cards. How do I get them replaced?

Lost Cards can be replaced at the Crossroads or Skyride Ticket Plaza. Replacement fee for lost cards is $15.00.

Can I bring my own food inside the Park and have a picnic?

Yes. You can bring your own food into the Park for a picnic, however, no outside caterers are allowed in the Park.

Can I come to the Park to take pictures for my wedding / engagement or film a commercial / movie / documentary at the Park?

In order to film or take photos at Stone Mountain Park companies/individuals must first obtain approval from the Park. Due to the volume of requests about filming and photography on-Park, all requests must be submitted in writing at least 14 days prior to the shoot.

In most cases, the Park does charge a location fee. Rates vary according to scope and details of specific projects. There is also a location fee for wedding-related photography (unless the wedding/reception is being held at Stone Mountain Park).

Your Memo/Letter should detail date and time of shoot, crew size, number of vehicles entering Park, desired location(s) for filming/photography, Start/End times and list of equipment to be used during shoot. Also, include how the photos/film will be used.

Can I bring my pet to Stone Mountain Park? Can my pet go anywhere in the Park? Do you have boarding facilities available?

Only dogs and cats are welcome to visit the Park. They must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet and they are not allowed in many of the public areas including Memorial Lawn, the Walk Up Trail, or Special Events Areas. Pets also are not allowed within ticketed areas or on the attractions. We do not have animal boarding at Stone Mountain Park. However, you may contact the Stone Mountain Vets at 770-469-6112 or Main Street Veterinarians at 770-498-4620. These organizations provide boarding for animals and are located close to Stone Mountain Park. However, these organizations are not affiliated with or endorsed by Stone Mountain Park.

Do you rent strollers or wheelchairs at the Park?

Yes. Strollers, manual wheelchairs, and electronic controlled vehicles (ECV’s) are available for rent at the Adventure Center with a valid state or federal identification. Credit card is required for wheelchair rentals. Wheelchair, ECV, and stroller quantities are limited and subject to availability.

Can I bring my own stroller t the Park?

Yes, you may bring your own stroller. For safety reasons, all strollers must be parked outside of most attractions. Stone Mountain Park is not responsible for strollers or their contents left unattended in the park.

Recreation

Can I fish in the lake? Is there a fee for fishing? Is a license required?

Fishing is permitted on the lake; however, you must have a valid GA Fishing License. To purchase a Fishing License online, click here. We have five types of fish in the lake: bass, carp, crappie, catfish, and bream.

How long is the road that goes around the base of the mountain?

Robert E. Lee Blvd, which circles the base of the mountain, is approximately 5 miles long. Traffic is one-way counter-clockwise on Robert E. Lee Blvd. on the back side of the mountain to allow for bikes and joggers/walkers.

Can I use my personal boat on the lake?

Private boats are allowed on the lake during daylight hours.

Boats must be launched from the Public Boat Ramp located near the Evergreen Pavilion. Outboard motors in excess of 10 hp are not allowed on the lake. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on any privately-owned boat.

Can I rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) to use on the lake?

Yes! We offer rental options for a kayak (single or double) and stand-up paddleboards.

Where can I have a picnic at the Park?

You are welcome to utilize one of our public picnic areas to have a picnic including the Studdard Picnic Area and Triangle Picnic Area. All of the covered pavilions are rental facilities and must be rented through our Park Sales Department. Call 770-498-5636 to rent a covered pavilion.

Do you have a playground at the Park?

Yes. The playground is located on Robert E. Lee Blvd approximately 3/4 mile past the West Gate of the Park.

Can I ride my bike to the top of the mountain? Do you have mountain biking trails?

No. Bicycles are not allowed on the walk-up trail or on any of the hiking trails. We do not have any mountain biking trails inside the Park.

Can I swim in the lake?

No. Our greatest concern is for the safety of our guests. Because Stone Mountain Lake is a large, urban lake, it is subject to water quality issues, especially in the summer when high temperatures or heavy rain can drastically affect the water quality. Because real-time water quality tests are not available, we simply do not permit swimming in the lake.

Can I walk to the top of the mountain? How long is the trail to the top of the mountain? Are there bathrooms / snack bar on top of the mountain?

Do you have bike trails or somewhere for me to ride my bicycle at the Park?

Bicycles can be ridden along the roadways inside the Park. There is a dedicated bicycle lane on Robert E. Lee Blvd., on the back side of the mountain. Bikers must ride single file and follow all traffic laws.

I am a food vendor. Can I participate or have a booth at your special events?

Stone Mountain Park has its own Food Service Department that operates most festival food locations. Currently, Stone Mountain Park is under contract with an outside food vendor and is not accepting applications for any of its upcoming events. We thank you for your interest.

Yellow Daisy Festival

What is the Yellow Daisy Festival?

Stone Mountain Park’s Yellow Daisy Festival (YDF) is one of America’s favorite and most well-known arts & crafts festivals. Featuring hundreds of artisans from all over the country, the Yellow Daisy Festival is held each year in the month of September to celebrate the blooming of the Yellow Daisy. (The daisy can be seen in its natural environment on hiking trails on the mountain). Despite its growth from a small Arts & Crafts show to the four-day event that it has become today, the Yellow Daisy Festival continues to be a big show with a small-town feel. The mission of re-connecting families and friends with fun, shopping, live entertainment, and good food has remained constant over the years. Multiple generations of families meander the festival grounds in search of the perfect item.

Is this an indoor or outdoor Festival?

The Yellow Daisy Festival takes place outdoors within Stone Mountain Park’s Events Meadow.

What if it rains? Do you cancel the event?

The Yellow Daisy Festival takes place rain or shine but we prefer shine!

Are pets allowed at the Festival?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the Yellow Daisy Festival so we ask that you please make the appropriate arrangements for your pet prior to attending the Festival.

Is there Festival Food?

Absolutely! Fantastic Food Trucks, BBQ, Burgers, Pizza, Funnel Cakes, Ice Cream, Kettle Corn, Roasted Corn, Italian Ice, Corn Dogs, and much, much more…hungry yet???

Can I bring a cooler?

Yes, but please know that all bags and coolers are subject to search prior to entering the Festival. Please refrain from bringing alcohol or glass containers to the Festival.

Do you have hotels or campgrounds to stay on park?

Yes! We have two Hotel Properties located within Stone Mountain Park; Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort and The Inn at Stone Mountain Park. The Inn at Stone Mountain Park is located within walking distance of the Festival. If you prefer to camp, Stone Mountain Park is also the home of Georgia’s #1 campground, as rated by Woodall’s, located in the heart of the state’s most popular attraction.

Do you rent wheelchairs or motorized scooters?

Wheelchairs and scooters are available for rent just inside the tent at the Festival’s main entrance and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Do you provide shuttles from the parking lots within the park?

Shuttles will not be available.

Do you have handicap parking?

Yes, but it is on a first come – first serve basis.

Can I volunteer to help at the Festival?

Yes, please apply here to be a volunteer.

Can I still apply to be an artist at the Festival?

Applications are due by midnight, February 28, 2025.

What types of products does the Yellow Daisy Festival accept?

The purpose of the Yellow Daisy Festival is to showcase the talents of its artists. All items must be created by the artist and the artist must be on-site all four days of the festival. Items not created by the artist or not in the category for which applied will not be permitted in the show. Resale of wholesale items (buy/sell) IS NOT permitted in the Yellow Daisy Festival. The selling of prepared food by an artist is prohibited; however, sampling of food gifts is permitted. All materials must be in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the United States and the State of Georgia.

Does the Festival maintain a waiting list in case of cancellations?

The 2025 Festival will maintain a waiting list of jury-approved crafters through July 2025.

What are fees to apply or have an artist booth at the Festival?

A single site is $550 and a double site is $1,150. There is also a $50 non-refundable jury fee. The booth site fee payment as well as the jury fee payment must be submitted with the application. If you are not accepted into the show your booth site fee is refunded back to you via the form of payment that you initially used to pay.

What is the size of an artist booth?

A single site is 10’x10’ or a double site is 20’x20’

How can I become a Food Vendor at the Festival? Do I need to fill out an application?

If you are interested in becoming a food vendor at the Yellow Daisy Festival, you do not need to fill out a crafter application. Please visit the “Become a Food Vendor” link to submit your inquiry. Please include not only the services/options you provide, but also pricing and listing of other events/venues where you sell your product.

***Please note that the Yellow Daisy Festival has a high volume of attendees and we receive many inquiries regarding participating as a food vendor therefore we cannot respond to each and every inquiry. If there is availability or a need for more information, a member of our Foods Department will contact you for more details. We do keep all information on file should we have any other events or openings throughout the year.

I am trying to get in touch with an artist that was at last year’s Yellow Daisy Festival. Can you help me?

Sure we will!  Whether it was last year or 10 years ago, we will try our best to get you the information you need. If you could please email us at ydf@stonemountainpark.com and tell us as much as you can remember about the artist, we will be sure to work on your request. (A Tip For You: Anything and everything helps us in narrowing down the potential artists: Maybe you remember what state they were from, what types of product they had, a rough idea of the location of their booth, the more details and specifics – the better! We love playing detective!)

I wanted to purchase a commemorative poster or t-shirt from last year’s festival. Is that still an option after the festival?

Often times we are able to accommodate this request. If you could please email us at ydf@stonemountainpark.com we will be sure to check with our merchandise team and see if they still have items available for purchase.

Can I purchase an Early Bird ticket this year?

Early Bird tickets are not available this year. 

Where is the festival located?

The festival layout will take place within the loops in the Stone Mountain Park’s Events Meadow.

Where do I park?

Plentiful parking is available in the Yellow Daisy Lot, the Twin Oaks Lot, and the Crossroads Lot.

Are advance reservations required?

No, reservations are not required to visit the Yellow Daisy Festival. The Festival is included with paid parking admission. Vehicle entry to the park is $20 for a one-day permit or $40 for an annual permit. View parking options here.
