Employment FAQ

How do I find out what jobs are available?

You can view all of our open job opportunities here.

Do I need a resume to apply?

No. During the application process you are given an opportunity to upload a resume or proceed with the application without a resume. However, if you are applying for a position in leadership, a salaried job opportunity, or a skilled position, our recruiting specialist will ask you to send in your resume.

Why are most of your job openings seasonal or part-time?

Stone Mountain Park’s business is seasonal which means that our operating schedule fluctuates depending upon the time of the year. For much of the year, most of our attractions, gift shops, and restaurants are open only on the weekends. Our operating schedule is extended during spring break, the summer, and holiday periods.

If I apply for a seasonal job, does that mean I’m only going to work a certain time of the year?

Possibly. Most of our seasonal jobs are for very specific time periods.

What age do I have to be to apply at Stone Mountain Park?

At least 16 years of age. All of our positions require you to be at least 16 years of age and some of our positions require you to be at least 18 years of age. The age requirements will be listed in the “Qualifications” section of each job description.

What do I do if there are no positions currently listed or available within my skill set?

We post rewarding career opportunities throughout the whole year. Working at Stone Mountain Park is an exciting employment experience. Continue to check back on our website or set up a notification on Linkedin or Indeed.com to be notified when we post new positions.

Should I apply for a position if I do not meet the requirements of the job?

No. If you do not meet the minimum requirements of the job, our recruiting team will not consider you for the job and you will receive a direct e-mail correspondence.

Can I apply for more than one position within Stone Mountain Park?

Yes! After applying for the first choice, click on the Existing Resume/CV at the bottom of the next listing for which you would like to apply. Log in and update your profile as necessary.

Will I receive a confirmation that my application/resume has been received?

Yes. After you submit your profile online, a confirmation acknowledgement will be e-mailed directly to you. After our recruiting team reviews your profile submission, we will correspond with you via e-mail. Please be sure to check your junk and spam folders for all correspondence!

How long after submitting my profile can I expect to hear from someone?

The process varies. Some of our posted positions we are looking to hire for right away, while other positions we post to be able to get ready for the upcoming season. Either way, you will hear back from a member of our recruiting team via e-mail regarding your next steps!

What type of interview can I expect?

For all positions, the first interview will take place over the phone. During this phone conversation you will be asked a series of questions for us to get to know you, your skill set and qualifications, and to inform you and get your feedback regarding important requirements of the position you applied for.

How many interviews can I expect?

Our selection process has a minimum of 3 steps. First, you will need to submit a complete formal application. Second, our recruiting team reviews both your profile and formal application and will contact you via telephone to complete a phone interview. Third, if qualified after your phone screening, the recruiting team will schedule a time and date for an in-person interview. All leadership and full-time positions usually require more than one in-person interview and possibly a personality assessment.

What should I wear to an interview?

Business attire is highly recommended, there is only one chance to make a first impression!

When can I expect to hear feedback from an interview?

Interview feedback does vary depending upon how many interviews are lined up for the hiring manager. You will receive an e-mail from us informing you of your interview status, typically within one to two weeks. Our recruiting team will correspond with you via e-mail regarding the hiring managers decisions. Please be sure to check your junk and spam folders for all e-mail correspondence.
