Launch your boat at the private boat ramp near the Evergreen Pavilion, and then cast your line on the Park’s 323-acre lake. Fishing is permitted from early morning through midnight, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Stone Mountain Lake. The waters are home to bass, carp, crappie, catfish, and bream—perfect for anglers of all levels. Private boats are welcome during daylight hours, as long as they use motors with 10 horsepower or less and follow all park safety regulations. To fish at the park, you’ll need a valid Georgia fishing license and either a daily or annual parking pass. Please note that fishing is not allowed from bridges, docks, golf courses, or beach areas. Geyser Towers During the warmest weekends of the year, generally from March through November, toddlers and big kids alike can play in the spray! Kids over 32 inches can climb on suspended rope bridges and nets with adult supervision to get more access to gushing eruptions of cooling water. Kids of any age and height can play on the ground level in the trickling creek. In the cooler months, the water turns off, providing a dry, suspended playground.
